Virtual Twilight Lecture - Does everyone get a fair trial? - Undergraduate Degrees

Students will enhance their learning in criminology and law topics as well as their understanding of the importance of justice within criminal justice system. This session will focus primarily on fairness within criminal trials. We will cover the legal system and the basics of the criminal process; the role of lay people and the advantages and disadvantages of juries, legal Aid and legal funding and injustice. These virtual lectures will be run live by our tutors. They are aimed at year 12 and 13 students who are currently studying Law, Criminology, Policing, and Politics, and any students who may be interested in studying these areas at university in the future.
