Five core series will run throughout the year:

  • The Importance of Wellbeing
  • The University of Law and More
  • Diversity Matters
  • Get Psyched
  • Future Pupils Series

Alongside these series, there will be intermittent episodes from our various faculties. These episodes will cover a variety of topics, including tips for acing interviews, academic skills, developments within the legal sector and more.

The Importance of Wellbeing

University can be an exciting but stressful time. The pressure of exams, maintaining a social life, organising placements and, for some, living away from home for the first time can be challenging. Our Wellbeing series will provide advice and guidance from the Student Support and Mental Health teams on navigating university life. There will be a variety of episodes which will cover managing stress at exam time, having fun without alcohol, combatting loneliness and more.

The University of Law and More

This series is all about our new courses including Criminology, Policing and Computer Science. You will meet our lecturers as they share information on our new course and the career paths students can go on to follow. You will learn about the lecturer’s own experiences and gain further insight into the subjects.

Diversity Matters

Our Diversity Matters series focuses on the importance of celebrating diversity. Hosts and interviewees will discuss equality, diversity and inclusion in their chosen careers. Reflecting on their own experiences, looking at the progress made and where more change needs to happen.

Get Psyched

Our Get Psyched series covers the psychology behind human behaviour. Within this series, we will be speaking with lecturers teaching the Psychology MSC conversion course, and experts about how the human mind affects and guides how we live our lives.

This series will delve deep into the psychology behind the psyche. We will answer questions you may have always been curious about because there is nothing more interesting than finding out why we or someone we know behaves the way they do.

Future Pupils Series

Students Amy Weir and Charlotte Arundale, who are also part of our Employability Team, host the Future Pupils series. Throughout the series, Amy and Charlotte share what they have learnt and reflect on their experiences as they navigate their way to becoming barristers. Episodes include tips for applying to pupillage, handling rejection, building a strong CV, networking and more.

Our podcast is available on all major podcast streaming platforms including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
