The University of Law (ULaw) has announced new agreements with the University of Southampton, the University of Surrey, the University of Leicester, and Birkbeck, University of London to guarantee SQE course places for the next generation of solicitors. ULaw will also continue its long-standing partnership with the University of Chester to support students through the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE).
The new agreements offer a range of benefits for students, culminating in a guaranteed place on the ULaw SQE course of their choice after graduation. During their studies, ULaw will be supporting students with a range of workshops, including how to best tackle multiple choice and single best answer questions, as well as looking at the skills needed to pass SQE part two.
Additionally, ULaw will be providing guaranteed places for students at these universities on their Legal Practice Course, for those who choose to qualify under the current tried and tested route.
These new agreements serve to expand ULaw’s offering to aspiring solicitors, with ongoing partnerships already in place with the University of East Anglia, the University of Exeter, the University of Reading, the University of Liverpool, and The University of Sheffield.
Peter Crisp, Pro Vice Chancellor External at ULaw, said: “We are delighted to be entering into these new partnerships. We look forward to guiding future generations of students through the forthcoming changes to qualifying as a solicitor and supporting them to achieve their career goals.”
