If you are looking to pursue a career in the legal or wider commercial sector, have an interest in business, but require greater flexibility in study patterns and wish to study 100% online, then this is the degree for you. A Qualifying Law Degree, the course has a practical focus, with employability integrated into the course.
There is a high level of interaction and you will receive peer and one-to-one professional tutor review. Over 90% of our tutors are qualified solicitors and barristers, just one of the reasons why our teaching has been awarded a gold ranking in the Government led Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
The course will deliver an insight into critical legal and business topics and develop knowledge and understanding of key concepts in a practical environment. You will develop analysis, research, problem-solving and communication skills.
There are three study options available: 3, 4 or 6 year programmes, allowing you to study full-time or part-time to suit your commitments and career plans.
Not only will you study the key legal topics and related skills required for the modern law student, but the study of Business will help make you employment ready and open up a wider array of career options.
This degree will complete the academic stage of training for those wishing to qualify as a solicitor or barrister and provides the foundation for Masters degrees, or you can move into employment within the wider legal sector and other commercial/business fields. The University of Law has a track record of success with 91% of our LLB students graduating in 2016 securing employment or further study within six months of successfully completing their course.
Students will have access to all study material online including module and unit guides, student handbook and assessment information. Online there will be a range of resources including relevant media (e.g. presentations, video clips, demonstrations and webinars), test and feedback exercises, as well as access to a wide range of databases where you can find all relevant case law, statutes and e-books.
