The University of Law (ULaw) and the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) have marked a significant milestone in higher education with the announcement of a groundbreaking partnership. This collaboration will offer students the opportunity to experience an innovative learning environment, that blends academic and professional training, offered by two world-class institutions.
Starting in Autumn 2024, students will be able to enrol in a two-year double degree programme of studies. The curriculum will encompass one of the international MSc programmes from The University of Law Business School (ULBS) including a tailored introductory module on Academic and Professional Practice for International Business (APPIB). This is followed by a corresponding MSc or MA in the relevant discipline from UE. This unique programme of studies offers tracks in International Business Strategy, Marketing, or Project Management, providing a tailored educational experience to meet diverse career goals.
Classes will be conducted at UE’s Hamburg campus in Germany, leveraging the strengths and expertise of both universities. Upon successful completion, graduates will receive both UK and German Master’s qualifications, recognised nationally and internationally. Additionally, students will enjoy the benefits of alumni status from both ULaw and UE, expanding their professional network and opportunities.
Throughout the programme, students will have access to comprehensive academic and non-academic support from both institutions. This includes cross-border career support services and exclusive memberships designed to enhance their employability prospects on a local and global scale. The collaboration aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and professional network necessary to excel in their chosen fields.
Professor Andrea Nollent, CEO and Vice Chancellor of The University of Law, said: “We are thrilled to join forces with the UE to offer this unique double degree programme. This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing students with a truly global education, combining the strengths of our institutions to foster academic excellence and professional success.”
Professor Maurits van Rooijen, President of the University of Europe for Applied Sciences, added: “By working together, we are opening new doors for our students. This double degree programme not only broadens their academic horizons but also enhances their cultural understanding and global perspective, which are crucial in today’s interconnected world. This partnership is a testament to our shared vision of an integrated, international educational experience.”
