You may be aware of an ongoing marking and assessment boycott at some universities and colleges.

Whilst our staff are not participating in strike action, action at other universities and colleges may have an impact on you receiving your results and delaying the information we need to confirm you have met the entry criteria for your new course.

If you are a UK student and do not need a student route visa, you can still start your course before receiving your results.

We understand that in some cases there may be a further delay beyond the course start date, to support you in your progression onto your Postgraduate study we now have the following options available to you:

  1. Provide a highly likely to complete Letter/Email – this must be provided as soon as possible, and no later than 6 weeks after the course start date – Please send a letter or email from your previous university or college stating that you are highly likely to successfully complete your course. You should apply to your current university or college for this and upload it to the Applicant Portal as soon as possible.

The confirmation provided must state that the university or college considers (you) the applicant highly likely to complete their course successfully, based on their assessment, and the applicant’s performance throughout the course; additionally indicating a likely classification outcome or a minimum guaranteed classification based upon achieved results to date.

The formal written confirmation should also give an indication of when the qualification will be awarded. The letter should be on headed paper or from the university or college email, be dated and have the contact details of the author.

You will still be required to provide us with a transcript once this has been released to you via the applicant portal.

We will accept this confirmation in place of your transcript and your offer will then be updated to Unconditional Acceptance (providing there are no other outstanding conditions).

    Or

  2. You can apply for the temporary academic waiver by contacting [email protected].

If you are unable to obtain a highly likely to complete Letter/Email, then we can offer you can academic waiver which will give you up to 1st December 2023 to meet your outstanding conditions.

When you receive your results, you will need to let us know so we can confirm that you have met the conditions of your offer and secure your permanent place on the course. If you have not met the entry criteria, we would have to cancel your place and refund your fee (excluding your deposit). If your results are not released prior to 1st December 2023 then you must contact Admissions.
