Career Series: Convert To Psychology

Are you interested in converting to Psychology? Are you studying a degree unrelated to Psychology but want to explore a career in this sector? Conversion courses enable you to pursue a new subject and create new progression opportunities. Our MSc Psychology Conversion Course will equip you with all the skills and knowledge needed to become a psychologist or cross over to the many psychology-related careers. This event will include multiple sessions and give an overview of our MSc Psychology Conversion Course which has employability at the core, highlight reasons to convert to psychology, and explain how developing skills through our psychology course will open your career options. You will gain valuable insight of what it’s like to study our course through a 15-minute taster lecture delivered by our Psychology tutors from the applications of professional psychology module. We will then be joined by a panel of Psychologists, including an Educational, Occupational and Clinical Neuropsychologist, who will discuss their career path and give advice on how to get into that career sector. The Psychologists on the panel include Dr Sarah Gillanders who is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist who specialises in neuropsychology and is the Lead Neuropsychologist at the Southeast of Scotland Major Trauma Centre, Dr Sheena Ashford, who is a qualified Educational Psychologist and a registered Health Psychologist, and Helen Farrell, who is a chartered Occupational Psychologist and works in Business Psychology Consultancy. There will then be an opportunity to ask any questions you have in the Q&A session.
