Continuing its mission of providing accessible and high-quality business accredited education, The University of Law (ULaw) Business School has announced the launch of its new Business School Advisory Board.
The Business School Advisory Board will support the School in achieving transformational and innovative education, and will provide a productive link between students, educators and industry practitioners.
The members of the board will advise on course content, along with providing feedback on new programmes, and activities. They will identify opportunities for students to interact with commercial, public and non-profit organisations through internships, mentoring and experiential learning, and by facilitating opportunities for students and faculty to access business leaders.
Membership of the Business School Advisory Board is drawn from across the global business sector and we are delighted to announce the first four members:
- Nicholas Conway, Director of leading global consultancy firm Deloitte, brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the legal technology field, along with a common-sense approach to business.
- Rachael Gibbens is Vice-President of Product Sales and Advanced Offerings at Kongsberg. They develop technologies for businesses, partners and nations operating from the depths of the sea to outer space. She has vast experience with complex cross-border issues, client relationship management, commercial, legal and sales.
- Jane Medcraft, a senior manager in the rail industry, adds her experience in commercial and customer management and negotiation to the board, along with a keen interest in responsible business and diversity through her role as CEO of Female Leaders Ltd, a consultancy service promoting fair advancement of women in leadership.
- Chris Miller, Lawyer at leading German bank Deutsche Bank AG, brings with him vast experience of contract negotiation and digitalisation, and negotiation processes for legal documentation.
Professor Andrea Nollent, Vice-Chancellor and CEO of ULaw, said: “We are committed to providing our Business School students with the best possible education to allow them to have rewarding and successful careers in business. Our new Advisory Board will help us to enhance our courses and provide invaluable insight into a variety of industries internationally. It will bring the business world into the classroom and help the next generation of leaders realise their dreams. Giving students the chance to meet with leaders in the business world who are role models and whose experiences can demonstrate ethical leadership and management practice, is key to setting our students up for success.”
