- LLM and LPC at Exeter
- 2022
What is your favourite memory from your time with us?
Going out for a celebratory Indian after our exams as a cohort and with our tutor Susan Starr.
Share a piece of advice from a lecturer or classmate that has stayed with you?
Always focus on yourself and your own career and never worry about what people are doing around you because you are going at your own pace - a legal career looks slightly different for everyone!
What advice would you give to someone starting the course you studied?
Believe in yourself! 15 exams in a year with a need to pass them all feels like a lot of pressure but just take each day as it comes, work hard and it will pay off!
How did your course prepare you for your career?
I think the LPC provided me with a real foundation for going into an operational law firm - even the basics like drafting a letter or preparing a memo! I’m glad I had that practice on the LPC.
Tell us something people may be surprised to know about you...
I qualified as a solicitor at 25 years old despite wanting to be a vet, a teacher and a police officer over the years!
