What is your favourite module to teach and why?

Advanced Real Estate. I love the mix of skills and subject matter across the module. It is well designed, engaging and offers opportunities for students to encounter more niche areas of property practice, such as planning, construction and environmental law.

If you could bring in one new piece of legislation, what would it be and why?

To bring in a register for animal abuse, and automatically ban all future animal ownership.

What advice would you give to students about to start studying law?

You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for. Throw your phone into another room when studying. Be tenacious: often "if you don't ask, you don't get."

What has been your favourite memory or proudest moment during your time with us so far?

When I receive student feedback, saying that I have changed their life for the better. That they felt that my faith in them, and my support of them, spurred them on to success. This is why I do this job! It is the best feeling in the world, without fail, every time these messages arrive.
