What is your favourite module to teach and why?
Family Law. I am a Family Lawyer and I love bringing my experience of practice into the classroom as it brings the subject alive.
If you could bring in one new piece of legislation, what would it be and why?
An Act to promote the interests of fathers and relationships with their children after relationship breakdown. Fathers can be marginalised and alienated from their children and new legislation can help.
What advice would you give to students about to start studying law?
Be prepared to embrace your studies. Law is a fascinating subject and you will get the most out of it by engaging, both in the classroom and when studying independently.
What has been your favourite memory or proudest moment during your time with us so far?
Seeing my students progress and develop from the first day they start at The University of Law, to getting a round of applause when they are awarded their degree at Graduation. It makes me smile!
