Important Application and Enrolment deadlines

Our aim is to support all students to have the best possible opportunities to succeed and so our application and enrolment deadlines are in place to ensure you stand the best chance of doing so.

We strongly recommend you accept your place and meet all outstanding conditions of your offer in time to attend your course induction. If you have not met the conditions of your offer, you will not be eligible to commence your studies.

In order to manage course capacities, the University may withdraw an offer once all or nearly all of the places available on a specific course are filled. Applicants will be notified if this happens and provided with information on alternative courses and start dates available.

Deadlines for courses will appear on this page once they are confirmed.

International Students

If you believe that you require a Student Route Visa in order to study with us at the University of Law you must complete the CAS process with our UKVI Student Compliance (USC) department. We advise you aim to meet the conditions of your offer as early as possible and well in advance of the unconditional offer acceptance deadlines stated on this page to have the best chance of receiving your CAS in time. We recommend you familiarise yourself with our Student Visa Policy and the steps you will need to take once your place becomes unconditional and also the key deadline dates in the table below relating to submitting all of the required documents to enable us to process your CAS request. Submission of all CAS documents by the agreed date does not automatically guarantee you will be issued a CAS.

If you are unable to meet the above deadlines, please reach out to your Programme Consultant to discuss any difficulties you are having with these deadlines.

English Language evidence: ULET is run on Fridays but the availability will be closed at least two weeks prior to ULET test day. Register here for ULET.

Accepting your Offer – When accepting your offer, you will be required to make an advanced payment.

We strongly suggest international students intending to make a bank transfer from their home country to liaise with their bank to confirm time scales as we have experienced longer than usual wait times to receive the funds. All other payment methods must be completed at least one week before the acceptance deadline date listed on the Application deadlines webpage. 

Once we have successfully received your payment, your applicant portal will update to say Unconditional Acceptance/Conditional Acceptance. 

If the payment is made after the deadline or we do not successfully receive the payment by the deadline published on this page below for your desired course, your application may be deferred to the next intake.

We aim to publish the key dates for each intake as early as possible, if the dates for your chosen intake are not listed below, please do check back at a later date.

If you cannot obtain your visa, travel to the UK and enrol by the stated deadline you must not travel to the UK as you will not be able to enrol as this would compromise your ability to succeed on your chosen programme of study, and this may impact your immigration history. We expect you to ensure that if you travel you arrive well in advance of the 12 noon BST deadline and would strongly suggest your plans consider travel delays.

If you have not received your visa outcome to allow enough time to travel to the UK by your course’s latest start date, you may wish to consider cancelling/withdrawing your visa application – further guidance can be found here.

If you would like to defer your place to the next available intake, please log into the applicant portal to request this. The Admissions team will review your request and will update your application within 48 hours.
