In Conversation with Frances Gibb

Join us for this exciting opportunity to hear compelling career insights from Frances Gibb, who is a freelance journalist who has written for The Times, Spectator and Counsel magazine. Frances will share all about her career to date, how her studies helped to shape her journey, and give you the opportunity to ask her any questions you might have. Students interested in our LLM in Journalism and the Law will be keen to attend this exciting event. Frances worked at The Times for more than three decades until 2019, having joined at the end of 1979 as a general news reporter, before becoming legal affairs correspondent and then legal editor, a post she held for the last 20 years before leaving to focus on her own writing, journalism and podcast. She began her legal career with a news film agency called Visnews, moving as a trainee journalist to The Times Higher Education Supplement. Her first job on a national newspaper was with the Daily Telegraph, as art sales correspondent, before joining The Times.
