Psychology of Crime: Inside the Case of Belle Gibson

Using the real-life case of Belle Gibson, students during our Psychology of Crime event will investigate how deception, persuasion and misinformation can influence behaviour. Through evidence analysis, interactive activities and debate, they explore cognitive biases, social influence, online trust and the psychological factors that make people vulnerable to fraud. Acting as psychologists, investigators and legal experts, students evaluate crime, harm and responsibility in the digital age while discovering careers in psychology, criminology, law, consumer protection and digital safety.
