I completed an undergraduate degree in International Business and Modern Languages which led to me starting my working life in Paris, working for a commercial real estate advisory firm. I particularly liked the legal aspect of this work and decided to pursue a career as a lawyer.

Having secured a training contract, I then embarked on the GDL and LPC at the then College of Law, Chester. I started my training upon finishing the LPC with an international law firm and went on to qualify and practice Corporate Restructuring.

When I was at The College of Law, Chester, I went to Lyon to represent Manchester Law Society and undertook a work placement with a large French firm.  I was working on international high profile deals that were reported in the press.

At ULaw I teach both our undergraduate and post-graduate courses. I specialise in corporate and commercial subjects and can be found teaching Transactions on the LLB, and Business Law, Employment and International Intellectual Property on the LPC.

My background is company law and I love teaching my students about the commercial world and the legal framework that business operate in. I especially enjoy converting students who arrive in my classes with the common misconception that business law is dull!  I particularly enjoy having an input into the education of those that will go on to pave the future of the legal profession.

As a former student of ULaw I knew that the University excelled as a provider of legal education and wanted to be part of that.  During my time in practice I retained close involvement with ULaw and regularly came back as a guest to events and took an active part in student mentoring.

The experience that ULaw has gained as the longest established legal education provider means that it has developed a true excellence in the delivery of its courses. The investment in its facilities means that it is a great place to study and the expertise of its tutors gives it invaluable connections to the legal market

I have travelled extensively throughout South America where I climbed glaciers, walked the Inca trail to Machu Picchu and trekked through the Amazon rainforest.

Outside of work, I am a bit of a DIY enthusiast and in my spare time I am always working on some sort of a project.
