Master's Lecture Series: Lessons from a Financial Crisis (Virtual)

A lecture and Q&A with tutor and former Magic Circle and US firm Solicitor, Emily Roach. With much of her career shaped by the 2008 financial crisis, Emily has represented creditors in the world’s biggest business collapses such as the Lehman Brothers. This lecture focuses on technical challenges that face lawyers in times of economic turmoil and provides a first-hand account of life inside a law firm during a global financial crisis, which is timely in light of the uncertainty around Covid-19.
