Thinking about studying for an LLB law degree?
At The University of Law, we believe our undergraduate students should understand how the law is applied in a real-world context, as well as being challenged academically.
No other law university can match our reputation and commitment to preparing you for a career in the fast moving worlds of law and business.
We have always been confident in our teaching and the results we consistently achieve for our students. The University of Law was recently awarded a gold ranking in the Government led Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), a fantastic endorsement in our belief that we really do set our students up for success.
We have a wide range of study options to meet your needs, from degrees with optional foundation years to online and accelerated programmes, that prepare you for a professional career from day one.
As we specialise in teaching, not research, with a focus on problem solving and weighing up arguments, you’ll develop a formidable range of essential skills that can make all the difference when starting your career.
As an apprentice you will work for a commercial organisation and complete an LLB (Hons) Legal Practice & Skills course over six years. Apprentices must meet all submission requirements and attend on-line tutorials every semester. On successful completion students who meet the suitability requirements can apply to the SRA to be admitted as a Solicitor and will not be required to undertake a separate training contract. There is a January and September start date for this programme in 2018. Find out more about our legal apprenticeships.
Not only are we one of the UK’s longest established law schools, with more than 100 years’ experience, we’re also pioneers of professionally focused law degrees designed to teach you to think and act like a lawyer from day one.
Driven by innovative teaching we are constantly expanding our range of courses to meet the needs of students and employers, ensuring you gain the skills employers demand.
Making the right choice about where to study your law degree is so important and as one of the UK’s longest-established specialist provider of legal education, with roots dating back to 1876, we offer:
