LLM Master of Laws

Our academic Master of Laws (LLMs) can be studied by law and non-law graduates alike, all you need is a passion for law and a desire to study the practical application of your chosen specialist area.

All of our LLM courses have comprehensive employability skills embedded throughout, helping you to succeed in today’s employment marketplace.

We’re committed to teaching the law in context and working with employers and regulators, so that you understand the importance of legal rules as they are applied in the real world.

With a wide range of elective modules and flexible study options to choose from, you can tailor your studies to your own interests and career aspirations.

Master of Laws (LLM)

Although academic Master’s degrees are not required to get a training contract, qualifying work experience (QWE) or pupillage, they are increasingly important if you want to pursue a career overseas, in academia or want to specialise in a particular area in law. They can also help you stand out from the crowd.

The majority of our programmes belong to one of our Centres of Excellence, which offers you the opportunity to study your chosen law specialism with dedicated support from our expert lecturers. Across our Centres, we work with leading industry professionals and governing bodies to provide specialist modules and electives that allow you to shape your studies to meet your career needs.

Find out more about each of our academic Master’s programmes and our Centres of Excellence by selecting from the drop downs below.

Please note: Our Master of Laws (LLM) programmes are not a direct route to qualification as a Barrister or Solicitor in the UK. For more information on how to qualify as a Solicitor or Barrister, see our routes to qualification section.
