    Focused on employability

We focus exclusively on practice-based training and give students access to our market-leading law careers service and legal vacancy database as soon as they accept a place with us. Students also benefit from our pioneering and award-winning pro bono programmes, which allow them to gain valuable work experience by helping real clients from the local community.

This combination means our graduates are in a unique position when it comes to finding employment. 98% of our full-time LPC students who graduated in summer 2013 had secured employment within nine months of graduation (based on known destinations).

    Relocation from York

Opening a new centre in Leeds involves relocating our campus from York. But the new Leeds centre is far more than a replacement - the move means that we can offer a broader range of programmes and study options to a wider group of students in a dedicated law school.

All of our resources, teaching and support services in Leeds will be to the same high standards that you would expect from The University of Law, and reflective of those at our seven other centres across the UK.

At the heart of the legal community

With over 150 law firms operating from the city, Leeds has been described by the UK Legal 500 as ‘second only to London’. The city provides closer access to a larger range of legal employers, directly boosting our students’ employability prospects. Our new centre will be located in the heart of the city centre and close to the major legal employers.

  • 96% Employed

In 2016, 96% of our full-time LPC students who passed the course in the summer were employed within nine months.
