The University of Law’s world-class academic staff
We are the UK’s longest-established law school with more than 100 years of experience. We teach real-world business skills too.
We are pioneers of professionally-focused law degrees designed to teach you to think and act like a lawyer. Our business degrees prepare you for key leadership roles, whether you want to start your own firm or work for a major multinational company.
More than 90 per cent of our excellent tutors are qualified lawyers with real life experience in practice. Our business tutors have all been business leaders. We are proud to have been voted in the top 10 for 5 categories in the 2019 National Student Survey, including Teaching and Academic Support.
The University of Law was awarded a silver rating in the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) in June 2019. We were found to deliver high quality teaching, learning and outcomes for our students and consistently exceed rigorous national quality requirements for UK higher education.
With a team of more than 250 professionally-qualified tutors, visiting professors and lecturers leading classes across 11 campuses, ULaw offers an established teaching methodology that focuses on the knowledge and practical skills proven to develop a successful career.
All our students are assigned a personal tutor and have regular one-to-one meetings where they can get advice on the course and career aspirations. As regular tutors are based in our campuses they operate an ‘open door’ policy so students can talk to them whenever they need to.
