The University of Law shortlisted for EducationInvestor Awards 2017

1 August 2017

The University of Law (ULaw) has been announced as a finalist at the EducationInvestor Awards 2017, shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Higher Education Provider of the Year’ award.

The EducationInvestor Awards promote excellence and recognise innovation in the business of education, and they are one of the most sought after awards in UK higher education. The judges will be looking for organisations and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to education in 2017.

The University of Law was recently awarded a gold ranking in the UK government-led inaugural Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF)*.  The panel judged that ULaw delivers consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for its students and was assessed to be of the highest quality found in the UK.

Building on its reputation as an institution focused on providing great career opportunities to students, the past year has also seen the university become the exclusive training provider for several law firms, such as RPC, Fieldfisher, and Fladgate. In addition, ULaw also secured apprenticeship partnerships with Hogan Lovells and Freshfields .

Professor Andrea Nollent, Vice-Chancellor and CEO of The University of Law, said: “We are proud of the university’s achievement in being shortlisted for this illustrious award. As an institution, we are invested heavily in our students’ education and careers.

“We continue to strive for success in all areas, and for this to be recognised by being shortlisted for this award is a testament to our commitment to student outcomes throughout our long history.”

The University of Law is part of Global University Systems (GUS), an international network of higher education providers. GUS has also been nominated for an award in the ‘Education Business of the Year’ category.

The winners of the EducationInvestor Awards 2017 will be announced on Tuesday 5 December at a gala dinner at the Hilton Park Lane in London.

* The University of Law achieved a gold TEF award in June 2017. This award expired in June 2019 and was replaced with TEF Silver.
