• Who can use our Employability Service

  • As a University of Law student, you can access our employability support even before you start your course.

    But it’s not just University of Law students who can benefit from our employability advice – by joining our Future Lawyers Network any aspiring lawyer from the age of 16 can gain access to our award-winning online Student Employability Programme (StEP).

    Here’s a summary of the employability services on offer to you at each stage of your journey:

    Before you accept a place with us

    Once you’ve accepted a place with us

    Postgraduate students can gain access to careers support from their chosen centre as soon as they accept their place with us – simply login to ELITE (our virtual learning environment) to find all the information and contact details you need. Due to the different application process, our undergraduate students can access support from mid-August before they start their course. Here are some examples of the types of services available:

    • Access to JobSearch, our unique database of job vacancies, including training contracts and pupillages

    • One-to-one advice and guidance from our careers experts

    • Access to the careers materials online and in centres

    • Summer workshops

    • E-mail and telephone advice

    While you’re studying with us

    After you’ve graduated

    Members of our Alumni benefit from the following ongoing careers support and opportunities:
