DWF announces exclusive partnership with College of Law
20 September 2011
Business law firm DWF has announced that The College of Law will be their exclusive provider of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) from September 2011.
Owing to the national reach of the College, the firm’s trainees will be given the flexibility to choose to study Stage One of the LPC at any of its eight centres nationwide while for Stage Two, they will gather together to study Commercial Law and Insurance Law at its Manchester centre in a firm-specific group.
David Blaquiere, partner and training principal at DWF, said: “The DWF specific course agreed with the College offers our trainees valuable opportunities to spend time together prior to the start of their training contracts and to meet and to work together with DWF lawyers as part of their LPC studies. We see that as a major advance in producing a cohesive and integrated group of trainees who will work together to drive forward the growth of the business in a values-based environment in the years to come."
Tricia Chatterton, Business Development Director for The College of Law, said: “DWF has an excellent reputation among students for being a great firm to work for with its commitment to its people, its clients and its communities. The College has worked closely with the firm for many years and we are delighted to be developing that relationship still further.
“The agreement allowing DWF’s trainees to study at different centres for each stage of the LPC demonstrates the College’s flexibility and our ability to tailor our products to the varying needs of firms and students.”
