Former students and friends of The College of Law had the opportunity to catch up recently at a networking event organised by the College’s Alumni Association.
The event, which was sponsored by international law firm Pinsent Masons, was held at Birmingham’s renowned IKON Gallery in Brindleyplace. Guests were invited to admire the work of contemporary artists John Wood and Paul Harrison, whilst catching up with former classmates and tutors and making new acquaintances.
The exhibition included newly commissioned video works and sculptures evocative of references including art history, Beckettian theatre and slapstick humour.
Professor Bernardette Griffin, Regional Director of The College of Law Birmingham said: “The College of Law is keen to support its Alumni throughout their legal careers and the networking and career development opportunities offered by our Alumni Association enable us to achieve this. This was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with so many of our former students, who have gone on to achieve great success."
Peter McHugh, Partner at Pinsent Masons said: "We were delighted to continue forging closer links with The College of Law by sponsoring the Ikon Gallery event. In attracting students to the City, the College plays an important role in supporting the local economy and the professional services community."
